Hi everyone. I am honored to announce that I will run again in the Memphis Marathon on December 5, 2015. This is the second consecutive year that I have run the Memphis Marathon in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Last year as a first-timer in this great event, I was so moved by the experience and the overall outpouring of support and appreciation that I received that I vowed I would again return this year. And here I am.
As you know, I want to do more than just run. My ultimate goal is to raise funds and awareness for an incredible cause. And that’s why I am again running as a St. Jude Hero. I’m ready to train and go the distance, but I, and better yet the kids of St. Jude, need your support.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has spent more than half a century finding cures and saving children. Treatments invented at St. Jude over the years have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened.
It costs $2 million a day to operate St. Jude, and 70% of the funds used to operate the facility come from public donations. And that means your donation, no matter how big or small, will help immensely.
Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Thank you for helping me run St. Jude!
My personal donation page can be found here, and remember that no donation is too small:
