Ron Gerber, the former Director of Sales for Integrated Deicing Services / Consolidated Deicing Services, has accepted a new promotion with IDS’ sister company, Quantem Aviation Services.

Ron Gerber, the new VP Sales and Service for QAS

Ron has been promoted to Vice President of Sales and Service with QAS. Ron brings with him a widespread knowledge of cargo handling and deicing experience, as well as an ability to drive sales and strategic management initiatives. Ron has over twenty-five years of experience in the aviation industry having started his career as Hub Manager and Station Manager with Spirit Airlines.  In 2006, Ron accepted the Senior Station Manager position with America West Airlines, and then transitioned to Regional Director and Cargo Manager for JFK and the Northeast region for Worldwide Flight Services. He also worked as Regional Director for New York for Servisair. Prior to working for IDS and CDS, Ron held the position of Business Development and Operations Director for Omni-Serv, covering the Newark, New York and Westchester airports.

QAS currently provides cargo, mail and aircraft service handling services at 17 locations in the US. Should you have any future outsourcing opportunities for these services and/or cabin service, warehousing, parking lot management, security and facility maintenance opportunities, please keep QAS and Ron in mind.

Besides being really good at what he does, Ron is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Please join me in wishing best of luck to Ron in his new functions.

  2. Congratulations Ron,

Best wishes in your new role!

  3. Mike,
People may talk, but what the hell; thank you. It’s you and others whom I consider friends who make decisions like easy ones. Hold the Jack in July, not sure this move takes me out of the Tyee competition. Buy either way, thank you and next time we cross paths Jack will be there too.
